... will be stopping along the way to Banff/Jasper to visit a cousin in Montana. Then to British Columbia and then Northwest to Tok, Alaska.

This first post is basically a test to see if this blog actually works as expected. This will be the first time either of us have tried to blog, however we're pretty good at keeping a "diary" of our trips, so we'll see how this goes. We hope you enjoy traveling along with us on the 3 ...

... 80 miles of stunning drive and for what I can only assume is going to be the last time I write this – the best drive I’ve ever done - we came out in a small town called Red Lodge. Montana is also big on "bear". They have bear in every name you can think of. Hit lots of road construction as well. Some at 35 miles an hour. The blue steed did really well. We have her loaded up and still got 33 miles per gallon. On lots and lots of up and down road. Wanted ...

Glad we came at this time of year, we saw hundreds of wild flowers, larkspurs which they also call loco weed out on the mountain sides. These flowers only last about two weeks. The grass is really green but in a month or so everything will be brown. We saw a lot of sage brush which is only about 2 ft high now but will get bigger through the summer. ...
