      Hi! After a quick swim in the morning, we flew from Las Vegas to San Francisco on Wednesday, arriving early afternoon and making our way to the hostel.       ... of a woodpecker and a (only slightly less sketchy) picture of a hummingbird. Which are still the cutest damn things ever. I did spend about five minutes chasing around after a couple who were playing together. Ridiculously adorable. And then finally, after lots of searching on the way up, we saw a lizard! Yes!       ... managed to get some writing done. The food was nice and there was plenty of it. We had a main lunch, with a pudding. an ice cream, a pizza slice, then sandwiches, crisps and a choccy biscuit.       ... up until1996. On the property is a river where salmon are seen spawning. In the forests is black bear, deer and bobcats. We saw bear claw marks on a tree and that was a worry.The two Rhodesian ridgeback dogs keep the humans safe and guarded. This is the wild woods of Washington state.
