Emerging from the ferry and driving through the interior of Menorca I observed this was a tranquil island, with many small fields bordered by old dry stone walls - this feature was most attractive. The initial flatness of the terrain became hillier as we neared the country town of Ferreries. A little south from there, along a dirt trackway, lay our …

Hi - Ian again. A quiet day in Mahon. Started with a trip around the harbour on a typical glass bottom boat. The highlight was a visit to Isle de Rei in the middle of the harbour. Active day on the boat today although sailing miles much reduced - John cleaned and dried a pretty wet boat after yesterday's sail. Hard work aside we had time for a pleasant breakfast, lunch and now having lamb/sea bass for supper. Mahon an interesting town - quieter today as now entering the low season - maybe the marina prices will drop. Walked up into the old town before food looking at the sights! but now back on the waterside for food. Tomorrow may be even less active.
