Our Cape Cod experience is quite different to Cape May. While we have bikes available to us we can't cycle as the roads are narrow - no footpaths and no cycle lanes. There are bike trails around the Cape but we can't transport them in our rental car.
We can walk to 2 golf courses, can fish in the pond below our house but must tour by car. We found a really good natural history museum and a walk through ...

... rain, which gave us another flavor of the magic places, we read about when JFK was our 35th president.

Observation: Living out west all our lives, we had no inkling of the places we studied in Bud Murray’s American History class! What a blessing to be able to experience them now! We are driving up the Cape today, headed to Nantucket tomorrow and I can’t wait for Plymouth Rock on Wednesday!

After the open mic with Jen, I left Chicago at about midnight since I still had some energy. I only made it about 2 hours and slept for a while at a rest stop in the middle of Indiana. Shortly after sunrise, I woke to an overcast gray morning and the windows of my truck camper glazed with condensation.
