We've had a pretty chill and relaxing week winding our way up the east coast. After leaving Brisbane we spent a few days in the beach town of Noosa Heads. Quite a nice little town, and it has small national parks dotted all over the area. Our time was spent lounging on the beach, walking through town, and running. We did a spectacular 14km trail run along the coast right next to town, in Noosa National Park. ...

... which I managed to photograph- So cute! Later in the afternoon I went on a Cassowary and Wallaby spotting tour. I was 100% successful on the wallaby front but didn't see any Cassowary's. Seeing a wallaby fight did make up for it though. One landed a big fat punch right in the face of his opponent. So last post we left off arriving at the Mamu Rainforest Canopy Walk. This "sky" walk gives you eye-level views of the fruits, flowers and birds along a nice, easy, pram friendly 2.5km circuit culminating with a 100 step 37m high tower at the furthermost point. All pretty standard stuff check out the photo's. The only low light was assuming there might be ...

... a true fairy-tale. The boys really loved exploring all the secret paths and bridges and feeding the fish and turtles in the swimming hole. Gav was amazed by the architecture and the tenacity of Jose Paronella - it would not have been easy building something like this in North Queensland in the 1930s!

Sadly we are leaving Mission Beach tomorrow and heading up to Cairns. A truly beautiful beach - hopefully we will be back one ...
