... only problem seems to be
that barefooting isn't so popular among the younger generation: Once, I
asked a young guy, working at a garage for the way. Recognizing him beeing
barefoot (and having very dirty feet - he was just working on a car), I had
a conversation about barefooting at Germany and Malta, and was told that
many younger Maltese don't like barefooting very much.

... in 1876 against the Indians. There is a huge cemetery there known as Custer National Cemetery with burials of veterans and their families from 1879 to the present. There is a small cemetery with stones to known soldiers who died in the battle, as well as a large memorial with the names of the known lost. Also there was a tombstone to the memory of all the horses lost in the battle who were buried alongside soldiers.
Miles City, Montana, United States rosemarysToday we travelled the I-94 through North Dakota. The highway was great, not much traffic. The land is flat to rolling prairie with wheat fields, corn fields, and hay. Then came the spectacular Badlands. We stopped at Painted Canyon to admire the view. The Badlands continue on into Montana, a very barren land. Lots of uphill travel in the latter part of the day. Today's big billboard sign of interest said "Hunt with your kids". This is our first night in a campground.

We want into parts of Montana that all you could see for miles and miles was flat farm fields without any trees, then we ran into rolling terrain w/ trees. We could see the mountains to the south of us. We saw alot of antelope along the road.
According to the GPS we are 1360 miles from home.
There is also a Devon, Montana. It is a very small town just north of HWY 2.

Today we left Moorhead at 0745. We stayed at the Super 8 that is south of I-94 on US-75 and the last time we stayed here was 1995? maybe. At least it was sometime around 1995 when Ann & John still were in the area. The motel still has a smell as it did back then although the room was better in that it did not have an odor like it did then. The other difference is it is now owned by a Pakistani. The breakfast was about as cheap as we have seen on the whole trip ...

Well God bless America, we found an RV park with a Laundromat so after one week on the road I now have clean clothes and plan to take a long hot shower as soon as I finish writing this. It is really fun to hear from everyone so please keep in touch! Love and Happiness, Randi
Glasgow, Montana, United States reneltrek... didn't want to try. So we left and started driving to Miles City which we arrived much sooner than expected which has actually given me time to get everything updated and get things situated. This week has been filled with memories and experiences I will never forget. Like the griz and wolf up close and personal encounter, finding the complete set of Elk antlers and that moment when I heard the wolf ...

Wolf point, Montana, United States stevevls... we played 14 holes, the pro shop finally opened (11 am) and we payed $12 each for an all-you-can-play rate. The layout of the course is confusing. We played 26 holes before heading out to Devil's Tower. Devil's Tower We needed to see the place that was shown in "Close Encounter of the Third Kind". We under-estimated our driving time and did not get to Devil's Tower (Wyoming) until sunset (4:30pm). We spent an ...
Rapid City, South Dakota, United States ilovetravelBadlands National Park In the afternoon, we visited Badlands National Park. The scenery is spectacular and weather was good. P.S. Our photos could not capture the colour contrast of the badlands. P.S. It is like Alberta's Drumheller & Alberta Dinosaur Provincial Park, but on a grander scale. http://www.nps.gov/badl/ After visiting the Badlands, at sunset, we headed west toward Rapid City (about 2 hours). Next Day Golf at Rapid City and drive to Billings
