After another very long day of travelling (3 hours from Bukit Lawang to Medan, an hour to cross Medan, then 5 hours to Parapat) we arrived at Lake Toba - a giant volcanic crater lake with an island the size of Singapore in the middle - but just missed the last ferry to Samosir Island and so ended up spending a night in Parapat (on the mainland). So little reminder of what i have been up whilst you lot have been having a wonderful time doing whatever it is you are up to. Tuk Tuk was also enjoyable as we had some of the nicest food we have had since the steaks of Argentina. £2 would get you the most delicious chicken curry on a hill top restaurant overlooking the lake. Not a bad way to spend a few days!

Condivido una casa Batak con Lisa e la mia stanza, anzi loft ;) e' una meraviglia!! Con vista lago e paghiamo 30'000 Rupie, che sembrano una ciffra da paura, ma in realta' sono solo 3.-!!
Viaggiare in Sumatra non e' per niente divertente! Per raggiungere il lago, 200km da Bukit Lawang, ci abbiamo impiegatoquasi 8 ore!!

... i takie same tylko minimalistyczne kawaleczki ryby. A przeciez jestesmy nad jeziorem. Wciaz glodni, wracamy do naszego hotelu. Na tarasie obieramy i zjadamy wielkiego ananasa. Dopiero teraz jestesmy szczesliwi. Jest juz 17:00, mniejszy upal wiec wychodzimy przed nasz domek i jestesmy przy samym jeziorze. Chinczycy sie kapia, puszczaja latawce. Atmosfera pikniku, jest przyjemnie i tak przy zachodzacym sloncu konczy sie ostatni dzien na Sumatrze. Jutro po poludniu odlatujemy na Jawe.

... zmienil sie kucharz. Jutro pojdziemy gdzies indziej. Korzystajac z hotelowego internetu rezerwuje bilety w Air Asia z Jakarty do Yogyakarty na 19-go za 44 usd za osobe. Jest juz ciemno, idziemy sie przejsc po wiosce. Wioska wyglada jak nadmorska uboga miejscowosc wypoczynkowa przed sezonem. Jest jedna glowna ulica, sa stragany z suvenirami, ale jest biednie. Na jutro umowieni jestesmy z Antkiem na 9:30, przed nami ciag dalszy historii Batakow.
