Don also gave us two beautiful thick planks from an old wharf that we used for the counter of an outdoor kitchen and a coffee bar area, which became known as the "bistro", complete with stools.     ... with the property, the island and the adventure of building Fiddlesticks Cottage, which began late in 2005 and was completed in early summer 2006.

    Many more projects here have since been embarked upon: gardens, including a large vegetable and berry garden, a wildflower meadow, a sleeping cabin and several other useful sheds, with more projects to come - "all in the fullness of time" - the phrase with which Jim responds to my frequent, "Why don't we....?".
