We made sure to return to the homestay to say our farewells to Leah, but not surprisingly we were invited in for tea and a chat. An hour or so later we forced ourselves away as we needed to carry on with our journey. We were heading to Sanur, a town north of Rinjani, about an hour around the edge of the national park.

The board was too heavy for me though, so Edd put the rubbish back up camera back in the back pack and swam out with me, him carrying the board and me tailing behind trying to not get annihilated by waves.

Hi to all and hopes this message finds everyone well. We are having such a great time and even though the weather has been “iffy” it really hasn’t stopped us doing anything. We are getting everyone’s comments and they are a joy to read. For some reason though every time we try to reply to one, to use a technical term, it chucks a wobbly on us.

Our next day in Tetebatu saw us off on a 21/2 hour guided ...

... come back... The north of the island is very sandy -so much more difficult to run over but I managed it with a sprint finish!

On Sunday we decided to book a private glass bottom boat between the 5 of us to go snorkelling out in between the islands, stopping on Gili Air for lunch. I was a little nervous, with my fear of boats and water, but with a bit of coaxing from Hannah I eased myself into the water and instantly loved it! It was so so pretty, swimming over coral ...
