    ... with kitchen and bathroom. Quite palatial compared to some we've seen. Since it is (hopefully) our last night out, we opted to stay at the rig and eat all the leftovers...Nate dubbed this 'samples' years ago when we would just empty out the fridge and eat everything. Kind of like hitting Costco when the food samples are out. In theory, we should be home in about 6 or 7 hours tomorrow...provided there are no issues with the rig, the border, the roads etc...fingers ...

    We arrived here on Monday afternoon, and on Monday evening we met up with Clark and Pam Fletcher (Clark worked for Greg back in the Coal Creek days, and we met his folks when we came through Broadus a few years back! We had a lovely dinner at Montana Brewing Co. in downtown Billings, and then Pam and Clark came back to see our place. It was a fun night!

    ... inside when we go to bed.

    Remember the motorhome warm up all daylong and takes a long time to cool down. By morning it is 77 inside. Not the most restful sleep but the price was right and this worked for our situation. Otherwise the local RV parks would have been $50 for a night. Also, we could have stayed overnight at a rest stop. Might do that next time.

    The drive west through North Dakota was flat, very, very flat. More boring than Saskatchewan; however we did note that the Rest Areas were quite attractive, with picnic tables that have a roof and side panels so you can lunch in peace. En route we passed a town called New Salem, it's name is on the side of a grassy knoll and right on top of the town's name was a giant jersey cow.
