Wile we were visiting with our cousin Judy from Thompson Falls. the weather report came in as cold with rain and possible snow. We decided that a tactical retreat was in our best interest. We got the camp busted and we were on our way by 4:45 The bed at the Big Sky motel felt really good. We had dinner at the Busy Bee cafe and found out we were on the front page of the Roundup Record . Some celebrities we are, thanks to Dale Alger. ...

There is usually a terrain change at state borders, that is often what was used to define the state lines and the transition from Wyoming to Montana is no exception. Left Shelby MT. today, traveled on St. Rt. 87 out of Great Falls, 45 degrees in the higher altitudes! When we turned to go south to Billings there was water on the road, 3-5 inches of rain in this area. Stopped for the night in ***********tana. What a surprise, the Schmolls and Fureys are staying here also. Had a nice visit with Jack & Barbara, Jim & Patsy! ...

...1) Remove all of the asphalt on both sides of the road for miles. 2) Put up signs announcing: Bump Ahead! Gravel Road! WAIT for Pilot Car...then repeat!

We have had an interesting day. We woke up well rested a little later than usual, pulling out of camp at 9:15 into a beautiful Montana morning at 73 degrees with 22%25 humidity. Just doesn't get any better...and it didn't!!

Today was basically exciting because we had an all new road for us to ...
