... We look out towards Santa Cruz and Anacapa Islands as we travel south along the coast. We soon come to the cities of Goleta and Santa Barbara- tall mountains on the left and the ocean on our right. You can't beat the scenery here!

Within the hour we turn off of the highway and head towards the barn. We enjoyed our 2 months of adventure, spending time with old friends and visiting with our family in McCall, ID and Santa Maria, CA. And yes, it is always nice to be home.

We spent the day eating outside and drinking mimosas and then headed back to the beach for the evening. Rich attempted to give Brad a lesson on how to play ...

... just to sum it up, in the space of half an hour we had seen a roller blading old man playing a guitar selling T-shirts, a homeless person trying to sell people cardboard that she had just written strange little comments on, a man playing a piano with his cat sat on top just minding its own business, weed doctors who would give you a prescription if you had ANY symptom of ANY illness, real or not, a Jamaican man with a ghetto blaster playing reggae incy wincy ...

... neighborhood I didn't get to do much. But the next morning brought bright sunshine perfect for some exploring.
Santa Barbara is a beautiful quiet town with a nice harbor and beach. You can even walk up the breakwater right to the sandbank that builds the entrance to the landings. From there you have a fantastic view over the city and mountains. I could sit there all day ...
