... at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. After breakfast at the hotel, we drove the 6 miles to downtown, paid an exorbitant amount for parking, and toured the main sites, including an audio tour of the Disney Hall (very impressive architecture and interior spaces), Japanese town, edge of China town, LA municipal and court buildings, Union Station, Olivera Street, and the other performing arts venues (Dorothy Chandler Pavilion). ... some photos in the beautiful backyard and enjoy Beejil's wedding cake for desert. We also got introduced to a new reality TV show called "Cutthroat kitchen".

After packing yet again, we chill on the sofa with Ajai and Unjalee to watch Oceans 11. Love that movie.

Paresh and Pravina again showered us with kindness and generosity during our stay. Always so attentive to what we needed and willing to help us out as much as they can.

... as much as I did. We eventually dropped down into a fertile valley West of Bakersfield, CA.

Driving through this area was quite a treat and while we tried to figure out what was growing in the fields nearby, we were also enjoying the weather out of the desert and with the breeze in our hair (well, you know what I mean.). Large fields of green plants in air that smelled like strawberries was the easy one! Others that ...

... the way. But we got back safe and sound with all our money intact. We were discussing the begging of these people and speculating how much money they might receive from strangers, or even whether they had regular donators. I'd be interested to see an honest documentary on their lives, especially finding out how they got to the point of homelessness... Anyway, a big sleep was on the cards in preparation for our next few days - Universal Studios and more importantly, DISNEYLAND BABY!! Ooooooh ...
