... you time to think through and appreciate what you've done so far. Also, once i leave Goa, it'll mark 1/3 of my time here in India and it was nice to have time to plan a little for the months ahead. My time in Palolem consisted of waking up whenever i felt like it, sun screening up and hitting the beach. I might sunbath or take a dip in the Arabian sea or just walk the length of the beach, stopping in shaded areas and restaurants along the way. I pretty much lived on fruit salads. ...

... while I was here. I ordered shrimp cocktail and grilled fish on my first night. Both were inedible and I ended up ordering a bowl of white rice instead. The shrimp cocktail was gross and was covered in a weird sauce with the look and texture of thousand island dressing. I don't even know how to describe the grilled fish. Just awful. Luckily I have been able to find different things that are ok to eat, but overall ...

... to head to the deserted Turtle Beach, select our food before it sells out, and head to the waves for fun and frolics till we were ready to eat. When the time came we sat down to lobster, prawns, mullet, oysters and crab. Believe me when I tell you that it was amazing. We were also treated to homemade crisps fresh and hot from the fryer served with sweet chilli dipping sauce which took us by surprise. No wonder the sign outside ...

... The next day I woke kirsty up at 8 as we needed to get home and check out but we were hanging. We said goodbye to the boys and got a cab home and packed and checked out and went and slept on the beach. It was a long ill feeling day. At 4 we got a cab to the station but the train was delayed until 10.30 so we slept in the waiting room until it came. We had got on a stop before our ticket started so we had to wait an hour for our seats to become available and finally we got into bed. What a day to have to move ...
