After packing a soggy campground and driving into town for coffee, we parked back at the campground and walked through the "fen" to the beach where there was a Kite Festival. We picked a spot far down the beach where the speakers weren't so loud but later realized that they were announcing sport kite flying. Wow. Seven Feathers is everything it claims and more. After asking to be moved to a different site than our assigned one, we landed in a shaded spot with open space in front and a stream behind us. Different names of towns like Coquille with a river the same name. But the river that has taken our eye is the Umpqua. It seems to be a very long one.
Tomorrow we head down a bit further to a town called Central Point near Medford. There are a few sights we've earmarked to check out.
