... names of everything we saw. But everywhere we went, everything we saw was jaw-droppingly gorgeous. We were gleeful each time a waved crashed on the rocks and sprayed high into the air. We spent long periods of time staring out into the ocean hoping to see a whale, but nothing yet. (It's past the migration, but we've heard that there are some local whales we might see.)

Wow. Seven Feathers is everything it claims and more. After asking to be moved to a different site than our assigned one, we landed in a shaded spot with open space in front and a stream behind us. ... the countryside this afternoon, and I looked round me thinking gee we've sure covered some miles in 2 weeks.
Different names of towns like Coquille with a river the same name. But the river that has taken our eye is the Umpqua. It seems to be a very long one.
Tomorrow we head down a bit further to a town called Central Point near Medford. There are a few sights we've earmarked to check out.

... arriving. Getting the car back from the Valet was good although Angus took a few moments to re-establish driving on the right. It’s even harder in Seattle as there is a great one-way system but sometimes you actually drive on the left.

... rooms at the Anaheim Plaza and Suites. (If I'd had my data plan when I called I would have been able to book in for half the price I paid.) We were checked into our rooms at the Plaza about 9:45, but their nice pool closed at 10pm before we had a chance for a dip.

So there you have it. Even with a leisurely start on day 1, rest stops, and meal stops on the road, we still did the drive down in 2 days. Seven people in one van, and everyone happy and getting along. Who knew.
