      ... koktailu alkoholowego na wyspie. Tak też zrobiliśmy. Wiaderko 'margarity' było tak dobre, że skusiliśmy się jeszcze na kubełek koktailu 'long island iced tea' (B200 = 4 = PLN20 za wiaderko). Prawdziwe życie na wyspie zaczyna sie dopiero po zachodzie słońca, kiedy plaża zamienia się w wielką restaurację z muzyką na żywo i przedstawieniami z ogniem. Bardzo podobało nam ...

      ... but start having babies when they are about 10. Their heart weighs between 10 and 25kg but only beats 25times a minute, which must mean the force of each contraction is huge!! The elephants at this park are not related and yet they have formed distinct family packs of about 4 or 5. They can live until they are about 90, the oldest elephant at this park is 80. It was a great day and so lovely to see happy elephants that have been through a lot of trauma. I could go on forever about ...

      ... blue waters and heading towards some beautiful islands. A good start.

      Once on the island we were given a briefing about the situation. The situation was basically that there was no water, snakes in the jungle so don't leave the paths and sand flies on long beach that are no effected by insect repellent. Marvellous.

      But never mind, I found myself a bed overlooking the sea and headed off to sunbathe and swim with people from the dorm. When I say overlooking the sea ...

      ... being the trills of birds in the coconut trees on the other side of the river and the occasional splash caused by fish jumping out of the water. The sun is beginning to set over the river as one of the lodge staff arrive to inform us what food has been caught today for us to eat.       ... to passport control where he asks for 300 Baht to get your passport through control very quickly... And if you pay 300 believe me it'll save waiting in the queue and he'll push in front give the officer your passport and some dough which the corrupt officer will take and hey presto! Your sorted!! But then you find you'll still wait an hour with everyone else for your minibus to Koh Chang... It doesnt leave ...
