3.11.14 Pignataro Got up and packed our trusty Peugeot after breakfast. Plugged the address of The Queen Hotel into Bruce and we were off. Onto the Autostrada with a tank full of Diesel and Jenny took the wheel, she did well too. We stopped for coffee, then lunch and paid the €20 toll. We hope to frame some of today’s photos and it is one place we actually thought we would like to live. We had a lovely time. At one ...

We had another great day. Slower start and then we drove firstly to Ostuni – this is a white hilltop town about 30 minutes south from Alberobello. BTW Alberobello means beautiful tree and there are sure plenty round here. Craig and I first saw Ostuni from a distance on the train and I was very keen to see it. The drive was lovely even with the rain, and along the way we saw many very old olive trees with very thick trunks. After parking we ...
