After spending 10 hrs at the bike shop watching my bike being built by Will himself, I am taking my first overnight trip. Started at Matt's place to the BC Ferry then on to brother Ed's place in White Rock for a visit with mom then return tomorrow. Early morning rain turned to sunny skies with some pretty stiff wind gusts. Just met a Belgian cyclist here for 2 weeks with his girlfriend who is on a 9 month trip . She has done France then across to Brazil up to Ecuador Flew ...

... thumb but even I could appreciate the time, effort and skill that went into creating this amazing area. The Sunken Gardens are actually in an old limestone quarry as the original owners of the area were i the cement business. Once the limestone had been depleted, the wife wanted to make it look pretty so set about creating the Sunken Gardens.. and holy moly did see succeed in making the area look 'pretty'!!!
