Alice went on the bus and I stayed in Ed. In the morning I visited the John Knox House....oldest Medieval house in Ed. Later I went on a "free" walking tour for about 2.5 hours. The guide was a Spanish student and she was great Sabella. The walking tours were started by a young Calif. backpacker who found tours very dry so he started a student lead tour company. Apparently they are in a lot of large cities. At the end of the tour she asked for payment what we thought she was ...

... me and connected me to my "inner dog", a state of mind which I think is best expressed in an old Arabic proverb that says, "Contentment is an inexhaustible treasure; acquire it by simplifying your life." I'm going to try Zeus - I promise.

And if anyone else wants to get down and doggy on the Saanich Peninsula, there are currently two top floor one-bedroom condos and one townhouse for sale in our development.

... thumb but even I could appreciate the time, effort and skill that went into creating this amazing area. The Sunken Gardens are actually in an old limestone quarry as the original owners of the area were i the cement business. Once the limestone had been depleted, the wife wanted to make it look pretty so set about creating the Sunken Gardens.. and holy moly did see succeed in making the area look 'pretty'!!!

... be ready until midday and it was only 8.30am in the morning. With 3 and and a half hours to wait we found a Tim Hortons Coffee shop and chilled for a few hours updating blogs and attending to facebook and any new emails. Tim Hortons for those that havent been to Canada is a huge coffee chain that appears to have shops on every second corner. Unlike starbucks their coffee is passable!
