... we were hungry and learned that the mountain starts having flash flooding and falling rocks at times like this so it would be better if we found something near our resort. We found a food truck on the side of the road near Hana and stopped for lunch. We then stopped at the General Store again for beer since we now needed to figure out how to entertain ourselves. Our resort is near the ocean so after a few beers we ventured down to check it out. The waves are now ...

... some communal child soothing. The food was filling and hit the spot. It all went down well except for the zucchini salad which, while it looked delicious, had, as Brian C. put it, "enough saline to fill your yearly quota." Kaanapali has Maui’s ...

Once in Maui the plan is we should be picked up for the transfer to the hotel, an hour from the airport. There is no one there. I ring the Freephone number and they tell me I have cancelled the pick up. I ...

... The "blowing" of the water into the air varies with the tide levels and waves.

We spotted the "blowhole" as it shot into the air before we arrived at the location. Carefully making our way down the rocky and steep trail towards the ocean, we wanted a photo in front of the thing as it exploded, which seemed to happen every few minutes. Shane posed in front of it and waited. I waited with my finger on the camera for just the right moment. When it reach ...
