      Well if your going to be sick you may as well have a pool out your front door. I had come down with a mild sore throat the last couple of days in Yogya and it only got worse as we moved on to Bali. What started out with a bit of a tickle ramped up to a swollen glands and a ***** of a sore throat. I can hardly swallow anything but hot soup and thoroughly masticated French fries and not much of that either.We spent 5 not so great days ...

      ... loads of tropical fish and crazy sea plants... And then.... Fi called out that she had seen a turtle! I couldn't see anything and felt a little dissapointed. I expected that it was just a little one, but shortly after Fi had returned to shore, i spotted not one but TWO massive sea turtles! I was so excited I was cheering for myself underwater. Amazing... Just amazing.

      The island is quite a party island, with music and parties going on in various bars, people trying ...

      ... to Yogyakarta, which I am on right now.

      In the Surabaya Sheraton, where I did not even stay as a guest since I missed an entire night sleeping going to Mt. Bromo for sunrise, I was able to leave my luggage with them, charge stuff in their back office, and hang around in their comfortable lounge with free wifi for about four hours before my Bromo trip and three hours after it waiting for my train.

      4. It's not a need for oxygen that makes you want to breathe, it's the desire to get the C02 out of your lungs.       ... to bump into Amy, a girl who had been out with us on the last night in Samoa, and Dani, another medic in our year. Even though both were with their respective partners and went off on their own ways, it was still both nice and odd seeing friendly faces on such a tiny island! Some shiatsu back massages, which in my opinion were sub-par, but satisfied the others' needs for a rub down finished the evening off in a relaxing manner, with all going to bed ahead of a full day at sea ...
