Gili Trawangan is a little island paradise, with a circumference of around 7km all fringed in beaches you can easily walk around the island in a few hours and with no scooters or cars on the island it instantly feels more relaxing than the hustle and bustle of Bali. We're all staying in a place called ...

Paul nearly lost an ankle to a Rottweiler - the first unfortunate Indonesian dog encounter we've had. Spookily, both Paul and I had our front brakes fail on the same day. Paul was aware of it from the day before and chanced it until bike workshop the next day. However, it was my first brake failure experience on a fairly steep descent. I ...

... Wednesdays dive was at Han's Reef where we were finally treated to two Green Turtles asleep in the coral like upturned pies on a plate. Two more were swimming above and we swam with them amazed at their giant size and gracefulness. We were spoilt when we spotted a giant Moray Eel keeping watch from a cave, mouthing something like a ventriloquist's dummy. A stingray flying through the water and countless clown fish patrolling their anemone's finished the show. Our Instructor ...
