They say when life hands you lemons, you should make lemonade. That's exactly what happened to us today. We had all these great plans today to go whitewater rafting, but when Jody woke up she didn't feel very well, so instead of whitewater rafting we ended up at Urgent Care. Anne had previously spoken to me about her; she's been in State legislation, she's built lots of land, etc. On her property, she bought and housed the plot of land and created the roads on it too. ... out of town, we had to stop at a pastry and pancake house because we were drawn in by the two porches covered by gorgeous flowers - it was also a Christmas and leather shop. We sat on the porch and had coffee, and decided to come back another day for the pancakes, since we were on our way to Happy Hour at a dear friend of Neela's who invited us to her home.

On June 2nd we traveled from Baker City, OR to McCall, ID via Highway 95. The one and only large town on this route is Weiser, Id. Weiser is located on the north bank of the Snake River which forms the Oregon, Idaho border hereabouts. McCall is a cute little alpine town (elevation 5000', 3000 souls) that resides on the south end of Payette Lake.
