"Our Farm-Park" Auckland

... It was BRILLIANT :-) We all ended up with huge smiles on our faces for the rest of the weekend. What a fantastic birthday treat, which we will have to do again.

We drove back towards Matakana, happy and stopped off for super burgers - a great end to a brilliant day. The journey back didn't seem to take half as long, strange how it never does! Once back at the house we had two exhausted children to carry in and get into bed.............

... die Summe der Hoechstbetraege exakt den Autopreis ergab, konnte es jetzt nur klappen. Das Glueck war tatsaechlich auf unserer Seite und wir durften mit unserem eigenen Auto nach Hause fahren (zum Glueck, denn die Busanbindung war nicht so unser Ding)!
Zum ersten Mal Linksverkehr! Lief dann aber doch ganz reibungslos ab. Interessanterweise finden die Neuseelaender, dass sie Rechtsfahrer sind, da sie ja auf der rechten Seite des Autos sitzen.

To soak in the natural hot springs in Lake Taupo, see the geysers in Rotura, and rolling waters of Huka Falls, napped on the beaches of magical Mataluna...   we even visited a blueberry farm that made its own homemade blueberry wine and gooseberry liquor- soooooo YUMMY!!! After that, we watched a sheep being shorn and then saw a 100-year-old woolen mill that still works as well as the process of making wool for clothing. That concluded the tour, and we hopped back on the bus for about a 3 hour ride back to Auckland. It was an amazing day, and I am really glad I joined the tour.
