... warm sunny rays for the first time in what seems like months.
There is an excellent restaurant here as part of the complex, so we enjoyed a really good meal then returned to our room to watch the cricket. What a great idea that turned out to be.....
So very little to talk about today. Tomorrow we will visit a few of the apparently more interesting places around the town, and try to get to know it better.

... start to appear were anthills, a few here and there, a few more,quite small at first, gradually getting bigger as time went on. I stopped to photograph some and disturbed a flock of birds nearby and could not mistake the sound - budgies in a flock in the wild! I woke up freezing and drove to Alice Springs. When we arrived we quickly set up to the caravan. We went to do some quick jobs and the set of to Trephina Gorge. This morning we were up at 6:30am, to get on the road early. At about 9.30, we arrived at Alice Springs (about 110km from Alice Springs). After we set up we went in to town, to get a few things. Afterwards we drove out to Trephina Gorge. The scenery of the MacDonald Ranges was magnificent. We walked the 2km walk, above and below the gorge.
