Today we travelled to Redbank Gorge via the Mereenie Loop road. It took 4 hours to travel about 260 kms on this very corragated track. When we hit a low point in the road where there was a river crossing (dry at this time of year) there was 4 metres of bitumum, we all sighed in relief, it became a bit of a joke. ... it was simply quite beautiful. We walked the short distance from the car
park to the Gap through what looked like a planted garden. There was shallow water in part of the creek
