... on tour. But I say lucky, as they were just packing up and had a lot of leftovers that they needed to get rid off. So we got some juice packages, rolls, melon slices, cake…. How good can it get. Once we get through all that luch, the visitorcentre is open and we get ourselves the icicles they sell. No icecream unfortunately.

... CT committees. Wandered through the markets in the mall after church. In the afternoon we went to the Pioneer Women's Hall of Fame which is located at the old prison. This was excellent with displays on a wide range of influential women since white settlement - educators, sport stars, architects, community leaders etc etc.

We were late for coffee with David and Margaret because of dental problems for Ruth. She has had a tooth worrying her for some time ...

... didn't feel much better. We drove to Redbank Gorge which is 152km West of Alice Springs and stopped there and did the walk to the gorge. It was a 1.5 km walk through the river bed to the end of the gorge which is cut through the range. It was a hot walk but reasonably easy over rocks and sand. The gorge at the end was quite pretty with a narrow chasm cut into the rock that was filled with icy cold water. We couldn't go any further as the water was deep and ...

Well it turns out that last nights' neighbours were a couple whom we camped beside in Kununurra on the lake for a couple of nights. We caught up with them at the Tilmouth Well roadhouse where it seemed all travellers stopped for a break. We pulled up alongside them and asked how was their night, and when we got talking we realised our prior connection.
