I can’t imagine that life at all. Lets just say mining isn’t going to be my next career change. We slept in a dorm style dug out with bunk beds, it was definitely an experience.

We had some time to walk around the town and look in all the Opal shops, really gorgeous stones and it was fun to ...

Flying Doctors and Woolworths seemed to be the highlight!

... alone. It is probably the downside of doing it, as your ears still ring at night of buzzing flies!

The group that I'm in is really nice and I think I like it more because I get totally looked after. Everyone is so lovely and I am the youngest there and by myself so people are always checking I'm alright. There is a few young people but mainly it's 30+. Quite liked being fuzzed ...

... same toast and cereal], we drive to Kings Canyon [now about only 30 minutes] for a guided 6km Canyon Rim Walk in one of the most spectacular areas of the outback [This really was my favorite part of the tour so far]. Visit the natural Amphitheatre, North and South Walls, and the exotic [I would not describe this as being exotic – there were some cycad trees with a tadpole water pond] Garden of Eden along the way. After lunch [camel or beef ...
