By the time the ‘show’ was over it was about 7pm and so we left Phillip Island and stopped for dinner in San Remo for some fish (shark) and chips for dins.

another touristy day in store today, i went to the tour of the old melbourne gaol where ned kelly wsa kept,
there was a cool performance by a girl depiciting his mothers versian of the story, then, YOU HAVE A wander around the gail itself,
after that i went into the court room, and the re0enactment of the trial was about to commence, so i sat down in that, which was a lot of fun too, it was all done by the visitors, and the crowd were told ...

Day 1. Mt. G. via Melb. to Euroa.

We left at 8:00 am and enjoyed a 2 hour lunch with Angeline and Narein Mather. Jeevi was also there, good to see her after 10 months away in San Diego.
A good time catching up on news.
We travelled on to Euroa on the Hume Hwy. and stayed the night in the Caravan Park ...

Thursday. Less than a week to go now. I am posting here mostly to check out the site. We are due to fly out from Tullamarine on next Tuesday evening at 9:30 pm. There is a 2:40 break to stretch the legs in Dubai then on to Paris. I am not looking forward to the 21:30 hours in the air but we will have to try to sleep. Looking at the Emirates website, I cannot book ...

At home getting ourselves organised. Still trying to download a western europe map for the gps. It just will not download on our poor internet connection. The 18 hours download time is just too long and interuptions and errors get me every time. I have downloaded the gps home onto the laptop and will try it from Owens connection tonight. Otherwise the organising is coming together well. Two weeks to go.

... This was our closest interpretation of the game so might not be completely on the ball but you get the idea!) Nevertheless the game was very exciting as the sides were fairly even and thanks to a unbelievable miss at a penalty kick by Carlton in the last minute, Hawthorn won the game my a narrow margin and we collected our winnings soon after! ... now is Perth. We leave Melbourne on Monday morning in a small but very well equipped campervan. It's $1/day and they give you a full tank of fuel and a $500 fuel allowance. How can you refuse? It's a gargantuan drive but we have 6/7 days to do it and we plan to drive via The Great Ocean Road. That will be tomorrow now as I have spent almost all day today (Sunday) writing up these blogs. ... bus and set off around midday. First thing first, we all got a free souvenir - a little cuddly penguin!! We were lucky enough to get one black penguin and one blue (the real colour of the little penguin who inhabits Australia). Ashlee took the blue cuddly penguin and quickly named him bluey - inventive i know! So we set off with little bluey and the first stop was the winery in Melbourne. We were able to try a selection of red and white wines as well ...

In tourquay gabs ueberall tolle surfershops. kleines oertchen, wie alle orte an der great ocean road. Saturday the weather was truly atrocious which I know will please all you people hard at work! About 11degrees and pouring with rain. We ended up only going to a shopping centre and also checking out where Wayne and Maree's daughters live in East Malvern ...
