Had a perfect travel day yesterday. Actually got away early, 8:45, and had beautiful cold clear weather all day. It was only once we got close to Portland that we saw any snow at all and there it was only deep in the bush. But shortly after we stopped for the night the snow started. This morning our intention was to check out Portland. We wandered down to the 'old town' which wasn't really an old town but VERY like Port Adelaide! We landed 30 minutes early in Portland, Maine. Got our luggage and rental car. We hit the road in our white Ford Caravan. I think we were all hungry so we headed for breakfast.
