On the road again
This will be the last update from Dili, as Sunday sees our departure from East Timor for the holiday island of Bali and the beginning of our wanderings across Indonesia before catching the final flight home from Singapore. That's not till the end of July, but in the meantime you'll be able to track our meanderings and dragging footsteps as we approach the final destination and the flight back to reality.

Crocodile Dundili
Many years ago a small crocodile lived in a swamp in a far away place. He dreamed of becoming a big crocodile but as food was scarce, he became weak and grew sadder and sadder.
He left for the open sea, to find food and realise his dream, but the day became increasingly hot and he was still far from the seashore. The little crocodile - rapidly drying out and now in desperation - lay down to die.

Dengue and diarrhoea in Dili
It's been a funny old week when you look back on it, and I have to say, not particularly entertaining.
Liz spent all of last weekend holed up in the room with dengue fever, and only recovered from it by about Wednesday – by which stage she had a very painful ear infection that required antibiotics, the first batch of which gave her an allergic reaction (as did the second batch, but not as bad) meaning she spent the whole week in our room ...
