        ... mid afternoon and checked into ABC chalets in a small town called Air Batang. No roads in sight, the only way of getting around being on foot or by scooter/bicycle! It was a very authentic, undeveloped island with simple chalets and huts along the coastline and the majority of the island covered in dense jungle. We couldn't believe the view from the chalet which was situated right on the beach.

        ... the hike and met a group of police officers that were posted in Tioman for the Eco challenge run around the island. After much light hearted refusal we let the officers buy our drinks, and quite a few tequila poppers. We then got in a side car tricycle and rode to the town south of ABC.
