Cliff's corner - Mr. Struhar shares his experience
We've been in Vietnam and Cambodia for about 10 days, and are currently floating / cruising down the Mekong River toward Saigon. Amy has taken at least 1000 pictures, and each one says something interesting about southeast Asia. I could definitely write more about this vacation than you'd ever be interested in reading, so I'm going to pass along what I think are the highlights so far. Wir werden am Morgen von einem Typen mit einer Travellergruppe im Schlepptau bei unserem Hotel abgeholt und zu einem Mini-Bus gebracht. Mit diesem fahren wir dann ca. 2h durch die Stadt, teilweise, um noch mehr Leute aufzusammeln, teilweise entbehrt sich uns der tiefere Sinn von den ständigen Stopps. Irgendwann kommen wir dann aber schliesslich aus der Stadt raus und somit in Fahrt. Unser Guide kommt ebenfalls in Fahrt und erzählt (sc)herzhaft von grossen Motos und ...

... bridge, only about 12 inches wide, with a very low hand rail one side, enjoyed local fruit tasting and had a local rendition by a husband and wife, don't know what they were singing, but they seem to be enjoying themselves

Long day
... things happened there.afterwards to where they we're kept prisoner, and tortured, met one of the survivors, bought a book on his experiences, but need to be in the right frame of mind to read it. Evening, a barbaque on deck, and a performance by local dancers. Would you believe it, actually rained, but at least it was warm rain.

Monkey's monks and hilltops
... they are the lucky ones. They get an education and even get to go to university. Everybody on the boat took loads of gifts, bought at the local market, we were forewarned and took quite a bit from England. They want to talk to you, to improve their English but all seem very small for their ages. Back on board the boat, more food, and get ready for another visit tomorrow, quite a harrowing day we are told.
