    ... grape nectar. The road was so packed it was hard to exit from the highway into the wineries. Bonna really wanted to check out Cakebread Winery which she found in one of her MANY 'tourist attraction' books.

    As we pulled into the Cakebread parking lot, I though to myself---this is a nice little SMALL family winery and we'll be out of here in about 15 minutes and be about $30 lighter in the wallet for the tasting fee of the mini ounced tastes. ...

    ... the best Zinfandel around. They source fruit there and in napa and vines are old (some about 100 years or so). The meals in Santa Barbara are great for seafood, I stopped at Harbor House one night and Chuck's the next. Sea Bass and Halibut are plentiful and ultra fresh. Santa Barbara is a place to spend more than the two days allocated and the Eagle Inn is highly recommended! ...

    ... couldn’t wait to get to Napa as it so hot outside, I would absolutely loathe it if the car breaks down (we saw a few smoking cars along the way). Once we’ve gotten past being awestruck by the scenery, it became rather boring as the same landscape repeats itself over the 7 hours drive. As my friend (and DD) commented, people tend to forget that there is nothing much between LA and San Francisco!
