... we started the day at William Bay National Park admiring their Elephant Rocks, which are giant, gorgeous red rocks called sitting in clear blue green water, fittingly called Greens Pool. We wandered around and enjoyed the views before heading to our final stop, Walpole-Nornalup National Park. ... the drive out there (as we were on the road so early) to check it out and if all looked good stop and stay, or if it seemed a bit dodgy we could return down the same road and continue onto Esperance. The last 20 or so km's into the area were just a single lane sealed road so we were a little apprehensive when we arrived, there were no houses just a caravan park and a boat ramp, but what a location…. it was just stunning. ... to make them look better, I was mistaken. The view was breathtaking. By this point the clouds had started to break up and the sun was shining through. Looking out to sea the water was crystal clear starting with turquoise all the way to a deep blue. In the distance I could see a camp ground where people were starting to surface from their slumber. ... and got on a tender by 3:30, went out to the ship, and bobbed around on the harbour like we were on a Disney ride; then we got turned back. Got to the pier. Sat in the tender until 7:00, then they hauled us off, gave us hot towels (because a breeze had come up, North Dakota style) and left us in a line outside, waiting for a bigger catamaran to take us back.
