... mt has a beret on top. Visited Lucky Bay and checked out the other campsite. Fantastic beach but close quarters at the campsite. Then back to the van as the rain set in again. Watched a movie snug in the van! Packed up this morning, drove to Esperance. Had a look around and we are now parked at a Free camp WA50 on our way ...

... kayak, had hot showers, met some lovely and interesting people (still no one our age and Australian) and had a BBQ overlooking the bay with some cute but rather creepy wildlife. There was kangaroos everywhere including on the beach, we walked and climbed everything we could get to and the views just kept getting better. Then we watched the sun set from the viewing platform at the end of the beach... oh my god. We are never leaving this place. ...

... and we visited the Esperance Museum. It showcased various facets of life in Esperance since it was founded such as fishing, mining, the port, agriculture, railway and pieces of crashed Skylab. We found it rather interesting. The important thing to remember in all this is that it was a frenchman who named this city Espèrance!

... Albany is a nice little town. I cant remember the name, I have to look at the map and the pictures but we camped in a site where I saw a mom kangaroo and her joey :), so cute! We headed to the tree top walk and the Karri trees, Karry trees are very tall and beautiful trees. I love these trees. We also went to a very tall tree (I have to look up the name) where there was a stairwell to climb, it took me 3 tries just to get half way! It was tall and scary! We then headed ...

We arrived after lunch at Cape Le Grand National Park and were lucky enough to get a site at Lucky Bay Campsite.
The sand here is the most amazing and unusual sand we have ever felt. It is fine like icing sugar and as white as white and makes a squeaking noise under your feet. The aqua clear water again the white sand explains why the beaches in this National Park are amongst the best in the world. We toured the area walking ...
