... along the beach until we found some suitable shady sunbeds for the day at Joy Beach Bar. It was high tide and the sea was occasionally washing under the sunbeds in front of us but we managed to stay high and dry. I persuaded Phil to partake of a light lunch and we shared some deep fried prawns with a spicy papaya salad washed down with fresh fruit shakes.

Drove to entrance of nat park but decided not to go in, turned around and back past turtle place, turned into a different road and went past local houses, villages etc. Saw a huge cow on side of road, went into a temple complex, found our way back onto hwy and rode back to hotel again. ... to Wat Muang Pratcharam School “Terrible Tuesday” but, although they were noisy and tiring, the children did seem to be better behaved now. We once again taught the “I like…./I don’t like…” lesson and were not surprised to find that here “studying” was unanimously voted onto the “I don’t like…” board.

... did was repeat back what we said to them. The class was too big to work with the one or two who showed a little understanding of what we were asking. We even had the questions written in Thai. When we showed them these they just read the question back to us. Eventually we gave up and Lesley once more came to the rescue and organised a number of games for them to play which filled the last 20 minutes. I’m going to miss her next week!
