      ... Bay and just beach after beach after beach. There is a famous stop on the way, Sea Lion Caves, which you have to pay to go down to the cave and see them but unfortunately we got the wrong time of year as they are all out at sea getting fat for winter!

      It has been a welcomed couple of chilled days by the beach after the cities but tomorrow we are heading back inland to some more National Parks and we have some long driving ahead of us so its off to bed for an early night!

      ... in the scenic seals asleep on the docks and get another cup of coffee that wasn't going to eat through a metal cup. We also visited the Astoria Column which is a 60 meter (250 steps) tower built on the hills surrounding the town.       We departed from Beverly Beach State Park this morning, and at the recommendation of our dear friends, the Turners, we headed to the Oregon State University Hatfield Science Center - WOW! We had such a great time learning from the experiences of their marine sciences program. We got to get up close and personal with the octopus, numerous touch pools and a lot of fish.
