... because of the miserable weather. The weather forecast is predicting heavy rains and winds for the next couple days so we may stay put until it clears. We are now on the Pacific Coast, there’s so much to see, and we don’t want to just drive by.

... cookies and milk on arrival. We had such lovely service at both the hotel and the town shops and restaurants. We can see why it is a favorite for many and why it was so widely recommended. The hotel puts on a campfire each night for guests as the sun is setting, and delivers popcorn and movies for guests if they are having a night in. The rooms also have a fireplace, so just a lovely change to the log cabin near Wolf ...

... dann ging es für uns in Richtung Shelton. Die Stadt nennt sich „Weihnachtsbaum-Hauptstadt der USA", da hier etliche Baumfarmen angesiedelt sind und die Holzindustrie hier ohnehin die Haupteinnahmequelle darstellt.
Von Larye und Judy, unseren Gastgebern in Shelton, wurden wir herzlich empfangen und ebenfalls wieder hervorragend bekocht. Judy ist eine Quilt-Näherin mit Herz und Seele und die beiden haben den ganzen Keller voll mit Stoffen, ...
