    ... pilgrims in the old days who were unable to travel to the Holy Land during the Crusades to feel a part of it albeit its authenticity.

    After that it was gelato. Kids are now addicted to this stuff. From there we went to the railway station to reserve our onward tickets to Naples. Just as well we did as the train was pretty much full. We then headed back to the apartment for our own siesta.

    ... to the Como San Giovanni Station to catch the train to Milan.

    We managed to get there in time and haul all our bags onto the train. 30 minutes later we were in Milan where we changed trains, then heading toward Bologna. An hour later in Bologna it was a real rush to change to the next train to Brindisi. Unfortunately I failed to heed my own warning and was scammed into giving 10 Euro to some Greeks (or Gypsies) insisting on helping us carry our bags up ...

    ... stairways have been made down to the various little beaches. Ours had around 15-20 people including us at the peek. The sand was super soft and fine, almost turning to clay when the water hit it. I felt I was inside a picture in an article of "world's best beaches." Pure heaven.     ... items are extremely boring or too rich or too sweet!. I just don't understand the attraction whatsoever to any of this stuff so I avoid it!! We have had some atrocious coffees too and some goodish ones.
    After lunch we realised the main shopping centre of town would be closed again so no point going although we did wander a bit in the general direction through a park with a fountain and the refugees from Africa ...
