    My Motorcycle journey introduction

This morning I awoke in my own bed for the first time in 18 days. Eyes open, scanning the room getting my bearings, smiling because I'm home. I arrived home last night as the sun was setting, full of excitement and anticipation. Of all the places and things I’d seen and experienced the last 18 days none could touch the sight of home and the embrace of my wife. On the morning of Sept. 20th I ...

We also took the opportunity for Donelle to take out one of the cars from the pool-scheme for a drive for an hour. The town itself is built around the old university, on the banks of the Hocking River and set amongst heavily wooded low hills. These ...

The last couple of weeks have been all about exploring my new home. Athens, Ohio, a small city with it's economy based around the Ohio University. The Ohio University has 38,857 enrolled students with 22,639 onsite students. The 2010 census had the population of Athens at 23,832. Interesting numbers!

The first word that came to my mind, while walking into the centre of town on my first day here, ...

... hall, the PD and a beautiful church who's bells were tolling beautiful songs. Too bad you can't hear them. I thought it was kind of funny that Mike parked in a 'No parking zone' right next to the police station and he didn't even notice.
Along our tour we found barns, neat houses, fire in the field and a barn with corn growing through ...
