Most of the Vineyards are off Caves Road, which beside wine, is also famous for a large cave system, so after a wine tasting it is easy to go spelunking. There are many caves to visit – we choose Giants cave which is classified as an "Adventure Cave". No guided tours in a lit cave, walking on a boardwalk for us. We get our hard hat and flashlight and set out to traverse the cave on our own. We get lucky and ...

... surfing beaches to home we stopped in Dunsborough at Dome for a cappuccino and a long white. What a life, eh? We cooked up some dinner in the communal kitchen, then started the re-pack and organizing for tomorrow's drive back to Perth and our flight to Melbourne. Southwestern Australia has proven to be marvellous, we've loved our time here, wish we had made it longer! Onwards to the Great Ocean Road! ...

... between the two except winery's and roadkill. Famous for its golf course and being the most Southwesterly point on the continent; where the Pacific meets the Southern Ocean. Five minutes from town is Leeuwin lighthouse, the highest in the country and still guarding the treacherous waters around the cape of the same name. There's a calcified waterwheel and a lot of quiet. We climbed the rocks and watched the waves crashing. It's still spring so the visitors that double ...

... late 1800's a woman settled in Augusta and bought out some Arum Lillies from South Africa for her garden. Life in Augusta was not easy and she walked away leaving her garden behind. The liilies have now spread to above Busselton. Paddocks are absolutely full of them as is the forest and they are a now a noxious weed.
Tomorrow we move on and are going to meet up with Ken and Beverley and John and Gill again. 'Till the next exciting episode, Cya.
