Today was a good day exploring Vermont. We saw lots of great covered bridges. Designed like this to stop the bridges getting icy and also to preserve their longevity. ... ll see a name you recognise!! We then had to head to Randolph to collect some bowling shoes for Jesse as he is in a bowling tournament on Sunday. Arrived home just after the bicyclists - that's the term they use. Ian and Duff had had a great ride so Ian was feeling very satisfied. Pizza for dinner and then the suitcases called. Managed to pack a bit more efficiently this time but will probably need to send another parcel home from New York.(The ...

... of New York State and saw some snow on one of the mountains (Mt Marcy perhaps?). Home down the Interstate which was much quicker than our earlier journey. Lin's parents and brother came to dinner so we had home cooked baked beans (in maple syrup which were very yummy), cooked ham, coleslaw and then I had cooked a pavlova for dessert. Not quite my best ever pavlova but it was received well and perhaps Lin will ave to cook one again ...
