... traffic was light but there were quite a lot of lorries.
The section of road to Millau 'only' climbs to almost 900m but this is high enough in these conditions.
We opted to pay the 11.40e to go over the Millau Viaduct, rather than take the steep windy road down into the valley and back up. It is always thrilling to cross the bridge. ...

... the old machinery.

The 5 day stay of visiting this amazing, beautiful region with gorgeous villages on the edge of the river (yet so boring for the kids) had to be ended with some good old kid fun - ten pin bowling!

Oh yeh, and one other highlight was buying 2 pairs of boots, a hair straightener and vegemite.
The vegemite was in a Carrefour grocery store and for a 220g jar, it cost $7.50 aus.

We arrived in Sarlat at late afternoon.
The apartment is probably the best yet that I have seen.
There is three levels, the third one is just a loft where me my sister and brother sleep.
The next morning we went walking because we didn't get to yesterday.

Then they invited us to have dinner at their place.

The next day we went to a place called La Roque and there was no body there.

At that place we played on the play ground and walked around.

After that we went to a different town. (This one was more boring)

... before relinquishing ownership in the 20th century. The finished chateau is very impressive - it is absolutely huge and has amazing views over the surrounding countryside. It also has a chapel with floors on two levels - the first one for the Lords is on street level, and the other level for the villagers is below the ground, down a very steep staircase. Apparently the Lords though they should be closer to God than the villagers ...
