      Lovely place to stay

Really enjoyed our 2 nights at this resort. We stayed in the budget accommodation which was fine for 2 nights. If I were to return I would upgrade to one of the nicer accommodations looking over the sea.

Secluded and relaxed, beautifully located, although slightly out-of-the-way, great if you want to get away from the masses.
Great food and service from lovely people/family-run. Rooms basic (with amenities) and fairly comfortable with gorgeous views over the bay.

We left Khao Sok at 1230 on time for once. The journey to Khao Lak only took an hour and a half. It was easy to find our bungalow too. Check in was smooth, the bungalow was really nice and comfortable. We walked to the beach which took less than 10 minutes. The beach was golden sand and a very long stretch. The sand was really hot. There was lots of resort type restaurants lining the beach. They were mostly over my budget price wise but we found one ...

... hotel's restaurant. It was glorious! Indian, Thai and BBQ foods were on the menu. The owner of the resort is Indian, and the samosas were some of the best I have ever tasted. We spent a lovely evening on the beach, with new friends, on our new island paradise.

Dad drove the moped this morning as Scott was feeling a little worse for wear! Doesn't help that we only had three hours sleep, I can power on with that amount more than Scott can. We went to the secret beach, although it didn't seen that secret because there were a fair few people there. Aunty Lynne will be going back black - from bruises not with a tan! She fell over again on her bottom in the middle of telling uncle Terry to ...

The Island was probably 3 or 4 far away and across a busy (sometimes) straight. Great Idea so to try to kayak there. In addition my Kayak also had a leak which allowed water to enter the hull and made the paddling even harder...

I was very happy for our break in between to do some snorkeling in a little bay we found along the way to gather new energy in my arms.

... took a boat tour of the island. We snorkeled at various points and got to go to Ko Naang Yuan, a small island near Ko Tao. We got sweaty walking up to a view point, and it looked very similar to Ko PhiPhi, but the beach inbetween the two hills was so narrow and white, and snorkeling on either side was terrific. I got so into watching the fishes that when I eventually looked up id swam from one side to the other!

      As I wasn't staying in a hostel the ...
