A wild, giant moated castle just sitting there with a row of daggy houses facing it.

One of the towers looked like it was going to fall over, like something from a sci fi movie. Brilliant castle and hopefully lots of cool photos, plus our bargain three day pass.

Spent an enjoyable if very wet week on the Gower Peninsula. Very glad we were in the van as it rained at least part of every day! Scenery and beaches are superb here and great for boogie boarding with long shallow beaches. Malcolm, Jo and the boys had a harder time of things in the tent. This is our second day on the beach this holiday within a holiday on a remote campsite near rhosilli beach on the Gower . We are camping with Malcolm and Jo and their boys. We had Sunday on Rhosilli beach but it was a bit cloudy.today was glorious sunshine and so we all jumped into Malcolm and Jo's car while Tim cycled to the beach; Tim wasn't keen to drive the campervan around the Gower as the roads are so narrow even for cars let alone campervan's so ...

... The cobbled streets and narrow lanes; the cafe lined high street which has been pedestrianised for the summer visitors; the beaches and boats in the harbour. A lively town with lots of buskers and stalls to keep the hoilday makers happy.
Another time we would like to take a boat trip to Caldey Island and have a seafood meal at one of the many fish restaurants here.
