i have a strange feeling that i will not be staying on top of this until i get home...i've been crazy busy with school and trying to maintain somewhat of a social life. well anyway, my mom will be here on Friday! i'm so excited, i just can't wait. my aunt and my cousin are coming too and we're going to have so much fun! well time to get more work done so that i'll be able to have fun while they're here! love you all and i'll be home a month from today!
Limerick, County Limerick, Ireland kring715... everyone here automatically thinks we are American until we tell them...then they pull a complete change in attitude. Apparently they arent very fond of Americans...hence the Canada flags all over our bags. We're about ready to tie Canadian flags around our heads! Following the escapade in the hotel dining room, Nic and I decided it was a grand idea to call Harry and let him know we were in Ireland...and everyone else we know! new rule...no drunk dials!
so i haven't updated in a while and i have about 6 entries that i need to post, but i've been super busy with midterms! i miss everyone and this weekend i will hopefully be posting pictures and entries of everything that i did while i was in the UK. i just wanted to let everyone know that i'm ok and just trying to power through all this school work.
Limerick, County Limerick, Ireland kring715... as to Canada, Argentina and Australia. 3 million left from the early 1800's to 1970. It is also the port from which the Titanic and the Lusitania sailed on theri last vogages.
We ended up in Kinsale, visited an amazing stone fort there (Charles Fort), had dinner and headed for "home". Our only real adventure was getting though Cork on our way home- we literally went in circles under the guidance of the GPS. And thank God we had it or we'd be there still!
... cash. The manager had already sent a bottle of wine to our room (of course not knowing we do not drink). They have been trying to catch up to us for 2 days, with us off galavanting around the countryside.
The resort feels so bad that this happened here. Officer Buckley said it may be a staff member so they are eager to track it all down. As I offered my theories about ...
... I had to. That window was way too scary.
As I was moving the blankets upstairs, Tim walks in the door and I burst out laughing.
"Oh my god, I thought there was someone outside that window! I can't sleep there, I'm way too scared!"
"Ohhhhhhhhhhhh kay"
I run upstairs and set up my bed. I am just about to drift off to sleep when I hear some very strange thumping coming from downstairs.
Therese: "What...is that?"
Me: "I...don't ...

... Castle, about 6km south, and Knappogue Castle, 5km north. Back to my explorations. I walked up and down several roads, and I can see why the road fatalities are at 26 so far this year, down from 41 at this time last year! But on the side roads there wasn't much traffic, so I felt fairly safe. I visited the old castle become library and used their computer for a bit. I saw a couple grade/middle-schools; they were at recess, and playing some sort ...
Sixmilebridge, Ireland pckujawa... only guest, so the service was top notch. B&Bs are definitely the way to go in Ireland as they are generally cheaper (I paid about 40-60 Euros a night for a double bed and of course the breakfasts) and offer a better view into how people live in Ireland, plus you usually get instant craic (Irish conversation for those of you who have gone off and forgotten your Gaelic). While in Tralee I was encouraged to visit a place called Jess McCarthy's, which is an ancient pub run ...
