    Today we had our missionary send off at Hosanna Lutheran Church. Next Saturday, August 1st, Rob and Heidi Rhea and Greg Sawa will embark on another mission trip to Malawi, Africa.     6 days to go, 5 bags packed, 4 weeks visiting, 3 hours of flying, 2 excited girls, and 1 mission!

    Greg and I left the Lafayette area today and travelled towards New Orleans. It's only a two hour drive but what a drive. The highway from Lafayette to Baton Rouge (about 100 km) was on an elevated road built on pilings in the Atchafalaya swamp. It’s quite the engineering feat.

    ... We had planted six bags of grass (about 300 plants) when our leader, Jennifer called us all in from our planting areas to announce that we were finished for the day. It was around Noon. They had run out of grass. The big problem is that people have signed up through Oct. 8th, and are coming from all over the country.
