We were sleepy but the bus driver had picked up a half a dozen regular commuters by then who got off at a town further on, but while they were on the bus all of them and the bus driver kept up a very loud animated conversation, which alarmingly included the driver flicking through his photo album on his mobile whilst driving to show his passengers pictures of his cars. Sorry it's a long one!! As of October 11th we officially started our workstay at the Linden Tree Ranch outside Gospic. The ranch lies just outside the Velebit National Park. In contrast to the rocky greenery of the coast, the Velebit is hilly verging on mountainous terrain with beautiful deciduous trees in full fall colours. The ranch is bordered by a creek on two sides and lays in a valley protected from the wind. Our arrival at the Gospic bus station was as cryptic ...
