    ... and girls were all adorned with beautiful Leis (flower necklaces) and the men and boys, Kukui nut necklaces that gives the wearer power and change colour when used as prayer beads and rubbed. Very thoughtful and beautiful party favours. Allow me to take a sip of my beer now while I remember what we did next... Ahhhh..... Right. After that we all hit the beach.     ... with Macyn and hunted geckos. Owen crushed on Penny and, as has been documented, snuck a peak or two. When the BBQ's course had run, we headed back to our rooms and switched into swim mode for a quick dip. Brian and I both admitted that the pool was actually going to be our bath for the day. A slick formed around the both of us as we submerged. Thank goodness for chlorine. Well, that's that. Another fun day and night in Maui! And it's Ivy's first birthday tomorrow - breakfast ...

    ... lots of tail smashing they really are spectacular!

    We went into Lahaina for dinner tonight a great pizza place on the water, I know Doug and Patti will love this place. Bryan had a deep dish pizza and I had meat balls and salad so so good.

    An early night to bed as we are up and gone early for our adventure to Haleakala Crater. I won't do an early morning post but expect to see me on-line tomorrow afternoon.

    ... road, we stopped off at The Olivine Pools. They are several tidepools located on barren lava along the ocean's edge. You needed good shoes to traverse the rugged rocks leading down to the ocean side. It is lava rock with sharp jagged edges.

    Next door to our condo is a shopping mall called Whaler Village. It is connected by a walkway along the beach. It is a popular spot due to it's many shops and some restaurants. We spent time walking through to check it out. The mall has daily events for people's enjoyment. Tonight was a hula demonstration. ...
