The day I had been waiting for had officially arrived. The night we were in Glasgow, Luke and I decided to take our own trip to St. Andrews and play golf on the famous St. Andrews' Golf Course. We took an evening bus to St. Andrews from Glasgow. At first we were on a bus that didn't go all the way to St. Andrews direct so the bus driver let us off at a stop and directed us towards a bus that would take us there quicker (incident #1). ... again, pretty badly ruined, pretty good for me to walk around and get photos from all angles... We walked down to the harbour pier and looked across the North Sea to Denmark/Norway? And Mum announced that we had "done" St Andrews - that was all there was to it. Obviously we drove ...

... We have some accomodation booked as well as lots of golf.
The ipod is fully charged with music, audiobooks and back episodes of The Archers!
As super organisers nothing is left to chance and spreadsheets have been created to make sure we are in the correct place on the right day. No freewheeling for us!

We were delighted to spend the night at a beautiful old hotel - The Old Manor House Hotel - overlooking a golf course - the Lundin Golf Course (not St Andrews - bit further away) - and with sea views. We had a lovely long walk on the beach and both made sure we touched the waters of the north Atlantic for the first time.

... downside was at times it was a little on the tough side to understand some of the very strong accents. Not to worry, after a few Scottish pints it all makes sense (you could also readily drink Fosters, if one was so devoid of taste). The Fun: We did a lot of cool stuff in Scotland. ... Then I change to the bus. Spent a chunk of the day prepping for my trip. The only place I've ever been that would be considered "Mediterranean" is Rome, and I've been there in March and September. Antalya in June is supposed to be pretty warm, so I threw my swimsuit and goggles in the suitcase. I'm always happy when I get to throw those in my suitcase ...

... a while and came out with some junk. We also ate at the classy Tesco restaurant (every little helps hey tesco). Went for a walk along the water and checked out the rather dodgy and small discount outlet. Dundee is also home to the UKs longest road bridge. My mum loves a bridge so we pottered around taking photos of the bridge too. The just went to our nearest Weatherspoons (bar) till the bus back to Edinburgh showed up!
