    ... it was getting to be more of an effort to examine anything closely. After seeing the film, Tim's Vermeer last year, Rowland particularly wanted to see the Vermeer paintings, which are splendid, but there are only 3 in the gallery, I believe. Rembrandt's Night Watch resides there as well, taking up an entire wall.     ... first. OK, don't think I can put off packing any more. Must get it done just on the off chance that the tickets are for 3:30 AM and not 3:30 pm tomorrow. That did happen when we went to Vietnam and I certainly ended up with an interesting assortment of non colour coordinated clothes for the month. This time my "wardrobe" is black and tan without relief. I will fit in with the priests and nuns rushing around Rome. But think of the space saving! Off to Florence. ...
