... quick peek from the nearest point and then head off to see where will be a good place to watch from. We also buy ourselves a souvenir programme, again a bit dear but some things just have to be done!

We decide to head up towards turn 1 as from there we can see the start/finish line, pit out, some of the pits and the amazing uphill run to the first corner. There is also a TV screen there so we can keep an eye on what's going on over the rest of the track. Before ...

... Very stereotype Texan - rows of rifles, glass displays of guns and any and all accessories needed to fit right in with the American gun culture. We also did some retail therapy and before you know it, it was about 8pm and time to check out our next Austin food experience - off to G'raj Mahal for some Indian cuisine. ... the worst. It should have been in pieces. This may have well been a Trek commercial because the bike rolled true even after this unfortunate asphalt thrashing. After all the excitement, we fixed the bike rack, made sure the pin was locked and continued "home" for some sleep.

... has and it feels pretty unsettling. So much change, and I didn't even get to say goodbye to many friends because of the craziness of the mono situation. In addition, I leave tomorrow for two months of European adventures. I'm super excited, but also anxious. It's my first time flying internationally alone, and my first time having this much independence and responsibility. I'm nervous, but can't wait. Hope everything goes well!
