... purse. I still don’t regret it at all. After I found my purse, Katy found one she liked as well, so we both left with new purses. We went to grab a bite to eat at a little restaurant right down the street from our hostel, then went to pick up Steve. That night, we basically just chilled out, got settled, and caught up with stories from Rome and Poland (where Steve had been).
The second day Ali and Kelsa were coming in the late ...
... Cranberry Sauce, Stuffing, Potatoes, and Mixed Vegetables. For dessert pumpkin pie, ice cream, and apple cider! It was nice to spend the night with classmates and a few professors.
Friday night, we had yet another Thanksgiving with all of my friends. Everyone prepared their favorite dish and we spent the night telling stories of our families Thanksgivings.

... life time on this trip already!
Climbed the tower in the main piazza, saw an enormously large pizza and had wild boar sausages for lunch which were a bit gamey but nice.
Went for drinks at Lochness bar and ended up drinking long islands as there wasn't much in the way of wine or beer there.
Hi Everyone!
After an exhausting weekend in Brussels, I was in for yet another treat with cooking classes in Florence. Organized by my school, a group of us met with a chef for some lessons.
We were taught how to prepare typical Tuscan cuisine including Ribollita and Stuffed zucchini-flowers.
Everything was delicious & I look forward to trying these recipes at home!

... shop in town. At 1:30 it was closed so we continue into town to check out some shops and a few of the sights around town.
On the way we found the piazza Campo and the tower there. We also saw a few churches. We stumbled upon a photo shop that had a replacement battery for my camera. After additional exploration we made it back to the bike shop. We went inside to find an old shop with not allot of merchandise. We were looking for a water bottle for Kathie and a souvenir ...
... and walked around the city with our tour guide giving us facts along the way, but it rained the whole time so it was kind of a bummer. This was a fairly uneventful day in Italy ... I took a bazillion photos, but of course it's impossible to capture the beauty of Tuscany on film (or SD card :) Tomorrow we're off to Cinque Terre!
San Gimignano, Italy andialeighI have walked past this church more than once but I thought today was the day I should pay respects and pay the 3 Euros and go inside. I don't like when I can't take pictures of some of the beautiful things here in Florence - mainly in churches - but I completely understand why we can't and appreciate the time inside that much more. Once inside I was told silence was ...
Florence, Italy gojenngo... We arrived around 2:00pm and went to find our hotel. We had a reservation for the B and H Hotel Diplomat. It was just across the street from the train station. We got to the hotel and they told us our room wasn't in the Diplomat, it was about 6 doors away in the B and H Hotel Ambassador. It seemed a little strange that this happened, but we walked back to the other hotel and checked in ...
Florence, Italy loissg(Sorry for lack of update the last few days, WiFi is few and far between in Italy) Today I day-tripped to the very historic town of Siena in central Tuscany. Every school kid who had the 64-color set of Crayola crayons remembers "Burnt Sienna". This is its namesake, however, there are so many different shades in the buildings of Siena, that how they picked that particular shade is a mystery to me ("Raw Umber" was another one that I always wondered about as well ...
San Gimignano, Italy dig_swashbWoke up around 10 and headed into town for some offical Italian pizza. Not too shabby. Walked around a bit and finished up at a park and napped for a bit. Headed out with the gang for a final dinner and then got dropped off at the station. Hugs and kisses all around and ...
