The hotel staff (Syeed) was very kind and although the restaurant was closed, had the chef prepare us a tray of meats and cheese, olives, bread and olive oil and balsamic. The oil is made here on this property. It was hard not to eat too much but we knew that we had dinner to eat at 8pm in the restaurant on the property. The restaurant had a Michelen star at one point but there is some confusion if ...

... It was very exciting and an important day for them, they had been having events on all week. We took heaps of photos, & it felt like we had stepped back in time. Had a lovely dinner & Montepulciano wine of course. One of the wine shops had an underground dungeon which was really cool. We saw an Etruscan tomb dating back over 2000 years ...

Today we headed off at 8am in the car as we were going to Cortona first which is about an hour from Siena. I was so excited to be going to c Bramasole, the house Frances Mayes renovated in the book Under The Tuscan Sun. We arrived early which was really nice as the town was still awakening, things start later here, so we had a coffee and enjoyed ...
