The day was rainy and quite cold but definitely didn't ruin my plans. Today I spent the day in Siena, another semi walled commune. Want to get an intense leg workout and don't live in San Francisco- come to Siena! Proper walking shoes are a must to travel around this city.
The city is lovely- as is just about every Italian city- and plays host to the famous horse racing that occurs once a year (Palio di Siena). I of course arrived a week or 2 too late in order to witness the madness.
