... about 45 minutes west of the our hotel at 930am. So we got moving and grabbed breakfast at the Kalaheo Cafe at the halfway point. This is obviously a local favorite and it was easy to see why...I had a wonderful mango/coconut muffin with a 1/2 mango for a very reasonable price. ... center and a luau in the evening. Since the walk started at 7am, we got moving to grab some coffee and a snack from the Concierge lounge. This is a perk that Ken gets from Hyatt for being a Diamond member, which means he sleeps in more Hyatt beds than he does his own. We can enjoy breakfast, lunch, happy hour beverages and snacks and evening deserts...all complimentary, which is a huge considering the prices of everything ...

... towel and got out a can of guava juice and a breakfast cookie that I picked up at the gas station. I'd only taken one bite when I was hijacked by three chickens wanting to share it! The cheeky things even walked on my legs and the mother was quite willing to climb on me to get it. She even let me stroke her. I gave in and threw them some crumbs. Soon all three of them were on my towel wanting more. They did make me chuckle.
