Early start to the day leaving our resort at six-thirty am heading to the southern tip of the island for a date with the giant sea turtles. Heavy rain made the driving difficulty. Met the other four members of our snorkelling group, Susan and Eric from Canada and Chris and Jitka from California. Jitka was an ...

I did call Air Canada to confirm ...

... We continued on through Princeville which looked pretty flash and then Hanalei town which looked like a quiet out of the way but modern surf town. We heading west all the way to Ha'ena Beach Park which is just around the corner from Tunnels, the spot where Bethany Hamilton lost her arm to a tiger shark. There was a fairly decent but heavy looking shorey wave out the front with a couple of guys on it but Tunnels wasn't ...

... pool ideal for kids. Nate was unsure of the water at first but then really enjoyed sitting at the edge of the shore and playing in the wet sand and having the waves wash over his feet. It was a lot of fun! We stayed for about an hour and then started the drive back to Princeville. Nate slept in the car and was ready for playtime when we got home. He fell asleep for bed that night early after the fun at the beach! (And so did we (you may be noticing a trend ...
