... but it didn’t show off nearly as much scenery as it should have done!

Just before we left Hanalei we went into a surf shop for Paulie to spend some of his leftover Birthday money and we came out with...a new dress for me! A complete mystery, no idea how that happened...!

Our lasting memory of Kauai though has to be it’s out of this world scenery which we doubt anywhere else can ...

... I had the seafood chowder and then the New York strip steak with a mushroom sauce, baked potato and sour cream and beans. It was lush, in fact it was the most healthiest meal I ate all cruise which is bad! Andrew had the garlic stuffed mushrooms and then the grilled pork chop with apple sauce, mashed potato and spinach. Dessert was coconut soufflé and Andrew had cheesecake which tasted a bit non. We ordered a glass each of Joseph Phelps ...

We saved the best for the last! The Kauai Island is our favourite one. It's so beautiful and simple (OK there are some very expensive hotels but still).
The oldest Hawaiian island, 6 million years old!
A local came to us while on the beach and greated us by saying 'Welcome to paradise'!!! this person was putting his surf board on his car as well, OH YES I love this place!

We spent the morning on the beach to enjoy the sun. If we would have known we could have rent ...

... us a lot of the history of the island as we flew. We were pretty quiet as we flew. It was just breathtaking! Before long we were flying through Waimea Canyon, the Grand Canyon of the Pacific as Mark Twain named it. We went way down into the side canyons to see even more waterfalls. When we came up out of the Canyon we could see Koke'e State Park. Then we crossed the tops of the mountains and went out into the Pacific Ocean where we could see ...
