          ... The first Hobbit hole lay to my left and had a round yellow door, with an incredibly detailed garden. Various wild flowers grew in pots on the window ledge and unused tools lay in a small shed. Everything that could be found on set was real and planted primarily for the film. A large field at the centre of the set was an obvious area for Hobbit farming and contained huge yellow sunflowers and numerous vegetable patches.
