    Wednesday 27 August and we arrive in Auckland, our
    last port before are at Sydney.

    Six of us, Lee-Anne & Mal, Dawn & Graham and
    us, decided to leave the ship around 10.00 (another early morning for Place) and
    have a bit of souvenir shopping and hit the supermarket for some bunny-killer
    and wine before we stop for a drink or two.

    ... get to the Terraces. Unfortunately, when the volcano exploded, the terraces were blown apart from the explosions of the super-heated water. Our views of a much smaller silica terrace the next day made us wonder how magnificent the Pink Terraces would have been in their time.
